Kiamokama Tea Factory, located in Kisii County, is one of the oldest K.T.D.A. managed factories in the West of Rift. It was commissioned in 1976 in the Gusii Highlands, an area known for its fertile soil and ideal climate for tea cultivation. The factory processes tea grown by over 22,000 small-scale farmers in the region. The factory has an annual capacity of 18 million kilograms of green leaf tea. The factory also operates Rianyamwamu satellite factory.
